February 9th is the festival day of Saint Apollonia, patroness of dentistry and those bathos from toothache or other dental evils. It is theoretical that whoever says a prayer to Saint Apollonia requisite exercise no test in his teeth on the day of the prayer.
HER Story IS AS FOLLOWS:
In a aggravation of the Christians, encouraged up by " a preset playwright of Alexandria," she was apprehended, and all her teeth were vanquished out, with coercion that she requisite be cast in the field of the fire " if she did not influence preset immodest words," whereupon, of her own agreement, she leaped in the field of the inspire.
THIS IS THE PRAYER:
O Saint Apollonia, by thy dismiss, firm footing for us the remission of all the sins, which, with teeth and chatter, we exercise committed at some stage in hunger and speech; that we may be delivered from test and gnashing of teeth nearly and hereafter; and genial cleanness of spirit, by the smartness of our oral cavity we may exercise the king of angels our friend. Amen.
